Each of us is the hero of our own stories, and we use the constant dialogue of our own internal narratives to justify our course of action. This is why, when people act entitled and out of turn, they are often surprised when someone takes a stand against them, resorting to playing the victim, because in their mind, they're able to twist what has occurred to suit their own narrative.
This woman, who lives in an apartment building with limited parking spaces, pays extra for the convenience of having a spot close to her unit. Despite the fact that the space is hers and hers alone, she occasionally comes home to find that others have parked in it. In this case, she arrived home to find that her neighbor had parked in her spot. When she asked him to move, he told her that she should be the one to park elsewhere since the spot was technically closer to his front door. While this might have been true, it had little to do with the actual problem at hand and was an irrelevant distraction from the real issue of the fact that he was parked in someone else's spot.
